Remedial Massage Therapy

DiagnoSYS Physiotherapy offers a number of different
remedial massage therapies, such as:

• Swedish Massage
• Sports Massage
• Deep Tissue Massage
• Hot Stone Therapy

Our practice focuses on acute muscular dysfunction, sports injuries and post-operative rehabilitation and we pride ourself on having always achieved solid, measurable results.

Our treatments differ from conventional Remedial Massage treatments. Wherever thermotherapy is appropriate, DiagonoSYS Physiotherapy blends Remedial Massage techniques with the use of hot stones.

Hot Stone Therapy

There are two types of hot stones:

• Placement Stones
  – placed in strategic positions, much like you would use a wheat pack.
   
• Working Stones
  – vary greatly is size, shape and are used during the massage.

Hot Stones produce an unsurpassed depth of relaxation. The sensation of deep penetrating heat from smooth stones together with massaging pressure is supremely relaxing and cannot be achieved by ordinary massage.

Remedial Massage and Physiotherapy

The approach to the two therapies is synergistic, where a combination of both produces a greater result than any one in isolation. This is only used for patients for whom it is appropriate and of course DiagnoSYS Physiotherapy always works closely with you and the referring practitioner to achieve the optimal results.
